Day 28: We Live in Trump’s Post-Experience America

I was a senior in college. Following the advice of career counselors on campus, I posted my very thin resume on Instead of looking for jobs, you’re inviting hiring managers to contact you. You got to be proactive, they’d say. And once I posted my resume, the phone calls and emails started coming in. Non-stop.

Since I really wanted to stay in Boston, I knew I had to find a job pretty much right after graduation. Because Boston is really expensive. So I would pretty much take anything that came my way from having my resume posted on Monster.

Printer sales, yup I can do that.

Cell phone sales, I’d love that.
